Time for another product test. I received a sample and have been using this flashlight for a few weeks. Testing and evaluating it as a product line to include in my store. I have decided that they offer great opportunities for customers. ArmyTek has a wide range of flashlights that can fill the needs of most job or field requirements. Compact and easy to hold. From lights with a traditional tube design to 90 degree heads. Beams reaching out hundreds of meters and lumens into the thousands. Yet also offering light down the a level of a candle for campsite, tent, or getting the most out of your battery. I’ve never had a flashlight that could run for months. Most of these lights can be mounted to hardhats, helmets, bicycles, headbands, or gear. This makes a truly modular setup with just a single light.

The ArmyTek Partner C2 with a warm LED offers a great EDC design and is marketed for a Hunting and Tactical operations with the same light. This allows you to deactivate the strobe so it is not accidentally activated. This is one of the few models that is multiple battery capable. Arriving with a 18650 Li-Ion battery rated at 3200 mAh, this flashlight can also run on their 3500 mAh for longer run times. Or it can run on a pair of CR123A batteries. It ships in a cardboard box that is designed for a retail shelf display. Most of the information you would need for evaluating a purchase is posted on the exterior of the box. Inside is an owners manual; a charging cable that magnetically covers the tailcap switch, and has LED lights for charging status notifications; a pair of replacement o-rings; a carry clip; a wrist lanyard; and a belt carry pouch. Accessories that are available for this light include a bicycle mount, rail or magnetic firearm mounts, hardhat and helmet mounts, and colored lenses caps for improved night visibility or beam performance.

It has two switches. One on the tailcoat where it is also charged, and one on the side in a more traditional location. The tailcoat is a pressure switch for on/off activation as well as allowing a light press for momentary on. The side button is yellow and changes the power settings, as well as illuminates for battery life notification. Both are silent, there is no audible sound when activated. Charging occurs within 3 hours and 20 minutes. This is easy to do with the included USB-A cable and a quarter turn of the tailcap to deactivate and protect the battery. While the cap connection is proprietary, the ability to use standard usb outlets is a great benefit to efficiently organizing and packing gear. Another option for charging is removing the battery and placing it in a standard charging unit that accepts these larger batteries.
The Partner C2 is available in both a warm LED or a white LED option. The white LED offers increased lumens and distance, but the warm offers better visibility in poor weather and is easier on your eyes. It offers 3 standard outputs, listed as Main1, Main2, and Main3. Turning on the flashlight and then holding the yellow button cycles through the levels. A quick double click on the button initiates the Turbo setting, offering an output at the full 1240 lumens. This will run for over two minutes before automatically dropping down for heat regulation. This will thpressing the tailcap activates the tactical setting. This allows you to cycle through all 3 main levels, then to a strobe.
Main1 – 52lm, 28h runtime
Main2 – 175lm, 9h25 runtime
Main3 – 405lm, 3h50 runtime
Turbo – 1240lm, 2h10 runtime, drops to 530lm after 2 minutes of runtime
Strobe – 1240lm/15hz, 3h45 runtime, drops to 530 after 20 minutes of runtime

This light is durable and holds ANSI/PLATO FL 1-2019 Standard specifications and rated to IP68. It has square threads on the sections and two o-rings to protect the internals. The light has a spring at each end of the battery chamber, this helps it handle the recoil of firearms, as well as the shock when dropped. It is certified up to drop impacts of 10 meters. It can operate after being submerged at 5 meters for 5 hours. This makes it a great options for contractors who may drop it on job sites off ladders, roofs, or a work truck. You do not have to worry about what it lands on or in.
PRO: Multiple battery options. Multiple light output levels to improve battery life and match the light output to the job requirements. Magnet base allows it to be placed on a vehicle or metal surface for hands-free work. Matte finish adds a level of friction that makes the flashlight easier to grip in wet weather. Battery power notification via LED under button. Wide range of accessories.
CON: Yellow button does not match well for a tactical design. No way to deactivate battery notification illuminating the yellow button. Would prefer one level lower for light output, as it is marketed for hunting, these higher levels are not needed when in a vehicle looking for gear, or in a tent searching for gear. Unnecessary print of charging cable on the flashlight.
Overall, I have been impressed with this light. The finish has been very durable, without a scratch riding around in my jacket pocket with keys and a wallet. I have not used the pocket clip and do not foresee myself carrying it outside of the pocket. The pocket clip and belt pouch are great additions, just not my personal preference for carry. The finish has not burnished or rubbed smooth when it was used in rainstorms. It has been easy to charge and I like that it uses a USB-A so I can use my current wall outlets or I can grab a portable power pack when in the field. I like that the strobe can be deactivated so the flashlight just cycles through the main 3 settings and I have to purposely activate the turbo setting. This really helps with extending the battery runtime. I can activate the strobe setting depending on where I will be traveling.
